"Or nah?" has become one of the most popularized phrases in 2014. It has trended on Twitter and is even heard in households and classrooms. This new weekly column which is centered on the funny term will address controversial issues in the Entertainment world. So, y’all ready…or nah?
Sevyn Streeter’s new music video "nEXt" featuring Kid Ink: Fail… or nah?
The music video is inspired by the BET hit series, Being Mary Jane which stars Gabrielle Union. The music video features Sevyn submerged in a bath tub full of sticky notes, hosing her lover down and tons of other hints which show that the video is clearly imitating the TV series. Between the bad acting in the beginning of the video and the steamy sex scene, we just can’t figure out if the music video is an attempt for the songstress to get in BET’s good graces by providing more publicity for the series or her paying homage to the new show. Either way, the track which appears on her solo EP "Call Me Crazy, But…" is a pretty catchy song.
Pastor Mase’s comeback into the Hip-Hop world: Double life… or nah?
In case you haven’t heard, Mase is back! And not squeaky clean, safe rapping Mase from 2004 single "Welcome Back." His verse on "Tricky Situation" which features the rapper bragging about sleeping with a woman who is engaged has members of his congregation very upset because the messages that he preaches in his sermon are apparently the opposite of what he raps about. Although many rappers embody a character on the microphone, it is still a tricky situation when your pastor is preaching to the congregation about keeping marriage sacred and rapping about doing the complete opposite (pun intended). Mase closes the verse with "Too bad I never keep my word…" Ouch! It has also been rumored that members of the church will not be paying tithes to Pastor Mason Betha.
Bobbi Kristina supporting her "brosband" Nick Gordon after he continues to disrespect her family: Ride or die… or nah?
The Houston family continues to make the cast of "Soul Food" look like the Huxtables. After Bobbi Kristina’s husband and adopted brother Nick Gordon fought Whitney’s nephew Gary Michael Houston at Pat’s daughter’s Sweet 16 party. Months after the fight, Nick has been on Twitter talking reckless about the rest of the family and has also been posting pictures of machine guns and pistols! Bobbi Kristina’s reaction has been retweets and smiley emojis supporting and urging her husbro on! In the latest news, Aunt Pat has filed a restraining order against Nick after seeing his Twitter posts. He has been ordered to stay 200 yards away from her and Nick said that he "doesn’t give a f***." Classy.
Nick Cannon dishes on his celebrity sex list: Messy…or nah?
Nick Cannon recently visited Big Boy’s Neighborhood where he was asked to dish on his celebrity sex list. He was told to name five and he responded: ‘That’s easy. OK, Mariah Carey, Christina Milian, Nicole Scherzinger, Selita Ebanks, oh Kim Kardashian.’ When people seemed surprised about Kim, Nick replied, "You just forgot because there’s been a lot of people since me. She’s a great girl though!" Nick is so shady. When asked about sexing his wife, Nick said "[The first time was] on our wedding night, honeymoon style in a house in the Bahamas. That’s a real woman right there to make you wait… I’m a pleaser, I went in going, ‘She’s going to love this’… I f****d the s**t out of her." Whoa there, Nicholas!
Columbus Short released a new music single, ‘Gave Ya’: Strategic PR move… or nah?
Coming off the heels of an arrest for domestic assault, Columbus short recently dropped a new R&B single. Am I the only one who had no idea that he was a singer? Aside from the heavy auto-tune and predictable lyrics, it’s a pretty OK song. But please don’t think that we didn’t catch wind of the Scandal star taking heed from the hit series and spinning the attention from the assault to his random musical career. Touché.
In other news:

He was shot on Saturday afternoon en route to his mother’s funeral by his nephew! Although there are no details as to why he was shot, his nephew, 36-year-old Gai Scott, was reportedly arrested by police and charged with assault with intent to murder. According to local news station WCVB, Benzino was driving a red Dodge SUV to his mother’s funeral procession at St. Peter’s Church in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. His nephew allegedly pulled up in a car beside him and started shooting, hitting his uncle. Although his mother’s funeral was delayed, it was held shortly after.
