Bloody Photos Surface of Evelyn Lozada’s Post-Headbutt Wound!

One day after Chad Johnson was released from jail due to his bad behavior in court, photos of Evelyn Lozada’s post-headbutt wound surfaced, and it is definitely worse than we imagined. Is it coincidental? Maybe, but my guess is, maybe not.

In case you’re not familiar with Chad Johnson’s love tap which took place in the Florida courtroom on June 10, let’s do a quick recap: Chad had originally been in court due to a charge of domestic violence when he head-butted former wife and Basketball Wives star, Evelyn Lozada in August 2012 after a heated argument.

During the hearing, Judge Kathleen McHugh and Chad’s lawyer were just about to finalize the terms of Chad’s punishment, which were pretty favorable to Chad. But the entire plea deal fell apart when Judge McHugh suggested that Chad commend his lawyer for his great work and Chad playfully slapped the lawyer’s butt. The courtroom erupted with laughter and the judge was not amused. She found the smack disrespectful and accused Chad of making a “joke” out of the entire proceeding. Chad replied, “I had no intent to make this a joke, because my life is in shambles right now.” Chad’s sob story apparently didn’t move the judge, who in addition to rejecting the plea deal altogether, slapped an extra three months probation on his tab and also served him with a 30 day jail sentence.

On Monday, June 17 Chad issued an apology when he returned to court. He told the judge, “I just wanted to apologize for disrespecting the court last time. I apologize. I did have time to reflect on the mistakes I made in this courtroom.” Judge McHugh accepted his apology and released him from jail. This was after she scolded him for a few minutes about his previous behavior. Judge McHugh said that Chad failed to appreciate “the gift of probation” after pleading no contest to battery in the altercation with Evelyn, which prompted her to quickly file for divorce. Chad was in court because he had failed to meet with his probation officer for three consecutive months.

Now, I was one who originally felt that Judge McHugh’s sentence was a bit harsh after Chad’s courtroom stunt. The smack seemed to imitate what athletes do on the football field to commend one another for ‘a job well done.’ However, after seeing Evelyn’s lacerated and bruised forehead photos, which were released by TMZ, I understand that Chad was skating on thin ice. The gash on Evelyn’s forehead was at least three inches long and required six to eight stitches. And after seeing it, I found myself wondering why Chad’s initial one year of probation sentence was so light.

Evelyn Lozada’s role on VH1’s reality hit show “Basketball Wives” may have something to do with Chad’s light sentence. During her four season run on the show, she is seen jumping on tables and throwing bottles at women. Though I, for one, believe that no abuse is permissible or excusable, some critics have said that because of her violent image on “BBW,” that she may have “deserved” the abuse from Chad. Though this seems incomparable to some, the judgment still exists and some will still view these photos as Evelyn’s bad karma. However, it seems that Evelyn may have just served Chad with another dose of karma called “reality” as horrific photos of her lacerated forehead “mysteriously” surfaced and went viral just a day after he was released from jail.
