Frank Ocean Rips a Vocal Cord… and Chris Brown in “Versace Remix”

Last week must have been a tough one for Frank Ocean. On Thursday night, he realized after his opening performance for his Australia tour dates in Melbourne’s Festival Hall that he had a tear in his vocal cord.

The Live Nation promoter reported:

“After last night’s concert… it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show… it has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal cords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice.”

Frank’s off time wasn’t in vain, however. Along with ripping a vocal cord, he also took to his Tumblr account to rip fellow artist Chris Brown on a “Versace Remix”Frank Ocean Chris Brown Grammys typed in a word document. I know you all haven’t forgotten about the Frank and Breezy beef (the fight that was recorded at a recording studio and the time when Chris was the only person sitting down at the Grammys after Frank Ocean beat him out for the award) and apparently Frank hasn’t forgotten either! In the document he writes:

“Versace Versace I’ll play the piano/ I’m not Liberace/ You could stay seated I’m taking that Grammy/ Your music is sloppy/ Niggas is heated they keep on repeating the evening/ In slow mo/ I sold enough records/ I’m selling out cities I don’t do no promo”

Frank continues saying that he has sat at the table among the likes of Marina Abramovic, Riccardo Tisci, Madonna, Beyonce and Donatella and that they all came to an agreement that “Twitter ain’t relevant anyway” and that he will soon delete his Twitter, as well as his Instagram account.

As far as an audio version of the clever remix, don’t hold your breath. Mr. Ocean posted a caption along with the photo of the lyrics that read: “no audio.”
