2014 is poised to be a big year for Eric Roberson. The GRAMMY nominated singer/songwriter is celebrating twenty years in the business and to kick off the celebration, he’s released B-Sides, Features and Heartaches, a collection of features and unreleased tracks from over the last decade. Roberson, considered by many as the standard bearer of the indie soul movement, has taken this project to showcase a few of those he’s collaborated with through the years.
B-Sides… features Aaron Camper, Angela Johnson, Les Nubians and DJ Spinna amongst others, but is largely a thank you to fans who’ve supported him since the beginning and those who’ve come along for the ride in recent years. Roberson says, "B-Sides, Features and Heartaches represents 10 years of collaborations with some of my favorite artists in the indie soul movement. I have tried to be the poster child for the statement "no one can accomplish a vision alone. Not only is it important to allow people to help facilitate your vision, you must also take the time to invest in others’ as well."
In between tour dates and his monthly showcase "Sol Village" at SOB’s in New York City, Roberson is putting the finishing touches on an album of new material to be released later in the year. B-Sides, Features and Heartaches can be purchased in stores or at www.EricRobersonMusic.com.
