Though I didn’t find the perfect picture on the black carpet of the flawless Selita Ebanks’s fashion choice, I did find a picture she took on the pasley-like hotel carpet inside the 2014 amfAR New York Gala. Selita chose a white silky Gabriela Cadena gown that featured lots of sparkly embellishments. The open back design of this gown is everything and does a great job of removing this look from a bridal space.
The adorable Debby Ryan was spotted in L.A. at the premiere of ‘Vampire Academy’. The budding fashionista wore Kate Spade New York black and white blouse and a pair of J Brand 485 luxe sateen skinny jeans. She carried a white Rauwolf clutch and offset the monochrome color palette with a pair of bright yellow René Caovilla pumps. Yup, she did that. And yes as a matter of fact I would love a pair of ‘luxe sateen jeans’...
Jermaine Scott Sinclair, better known by his stage name Wretch 32 attended the RoboCop London premiere and knows a thing or two about fashion. For the even he chose a qUmi London look that was a gradient of browns. A pair of perfectly tailored chinos, a milk chocolate turtle neck, and a deep dark brown velvet blazer made up this look. The icing on the cake for me was the loafers that really just set the look off. When you dress like this I will only address you as Mr. Sinclair.
Kelly Rowland is back! She stole the red carpet of the 2014 amfAR Gala in a Juan Carlos Obando design. Though my personal policy is clothes are always optional (we were all born in the similar birthday suits), you can be the best dressed when you are completely covered up. Kelly proves that with this outfit. The eggshell gown with black print featured long sleeves and a high neck that had a tie feature. The varied lengths of the hemline added volume, drama, and movement to the gown. Kelly finished off her look with a pair of gold metallic pumps.
So not only is Michael B. Jordan killing it on screen, he’s also decided to slay the red carpet. By george he’s got it! Michael was seen at the Virtuosos Award Ceremony at the 2014 Santa Barbara International Film Festival sporting a cobalt blue Vivienne Westwood Man suit. He paired the suit with a California Raisin hued shirt paired with a black tie. Black Prada shoes and a Piaget timepiece finish this look. Yup, She’s a fan.
Abbie Cornish was thrust into the spotlight in 2006 after she and actor Ryan Phillippe began dating before-or-during-or-after his divorce from actress Reese Witherspoon. What she really should have been thrust into the spotlight for was her outstanding performance in the film ‘Candy’ where she starred alongside the late Heath Ledger. In any case its 2014 and I think Abbie deserves a slow clap for the impeccable Elie Saab design she wore to the London premiere of ‘Robocop’. The gorgeous ¾ sleeve gown featured an open back and lots of beadwork. A gold Jimmy Choo clutch, a black manicure and minimal frosting finished her look.
‘Shameless’ star Emmy Rossum was spotted on the front row of the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2014 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Lincoln Center, in New York City. A.K.A. where I wish I was right now. She looked adorable in a burgendy peacoat that she wore over a lacy white Lhuillier design. The look featured a lace blouse/bandeau and a lacy pencil skirt. She carried a gold clutch and wore a pair of gold Rupert Sanderson ‘Elbaa’ pumps to finish her look.
I just love Jennifer Hudson. If the red carpet was a dragon she would be slaying it each and every time she arrives. Jennifer struck a post in a white peplum mini dress. A plunging neckline revealed a black bra...well I prefer to call it a bustier like Selena/J-Lo taught me. She spiced up her legs with a pair of fishnets and black pumps. With her pixie cut and consistent show-stopping fashion moments she is clearly not playing with fashion anymore. Somebody has come to win.
Speaking of suits...I will be on the scene in New Orleans checking out the fashion during the 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend. I am anticipating a lot of wins in the mens department.
