What To Do Next After You Have Planted The Seeds of Your Hope (Pt. 1)
Our Father thank You for letting me continue to experience this undeserved moment of my life. I have planted my desires and needs before Thee in heaven by faith. I wait on Thee for the return of my reward that You see fit for me to have at Your will. In my waiting for your response help me to withstand the trials and the uncertainties that will come upon me in the future. Be close to me to let me know Your voice from mine, Satan or anyone else besides You. Teach me to stand firm on Your promises toward me. Help me to endure and to trust You as Your word instructs me to do. When I am weakened at times in my waiting surround me with Your encouragement and sanctify me with Your peace. When the fiery flames of temptations seek to consume me hold my mind in the strength of Your will to see the good that You want out of my waiting. Counsel my heart to wait and know Your timing and Your will for all that You bless me with. Let whatever You bless me with as Your response to my faith be my sufficiency and let all of it glorify Thee. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen. ---by Manson B. Johnson, Shepherd
What to do next after you plant your seeds of hope:
I. Have faith in God; Mark 11:22-24; Hebrews 11:1,6,8
A. People who are in control of their own life do not need faith in God.
B. People who do not accept their relationship with God will attempt to control their future as well as their circumstances with only human help.
C. Faith in God enables one to seek God for what they have never had or done before, usually something BIG! Faith seldom is needed on small stuff. Small things are made for us to naturally dominate by who we are as God’s creations. Working on small things gives us practice to get ready to handle BIG things!
- Why keep doing the same thing over and over and call it faith, especially when it continues to be nonproductive.
- Learn to trust God for the BIG stuff that you cannot do.
- Ask Him to work it out for you.
- Accept how He works it out for you.
- Be prepared spiritually to know when God has worked it out.
II. Pray with all supplications for things that are humanly disputed and difficult to humanly believe. Psalm 30:8; 55:1; 119:170; 142:1;Ephesians 6:18
A. Supplication prayers move the human in you into a more spiritual mood.
B. Supplication prayers enable you to hear God clearer for what He is going to say and what He wants you to do.
