DEFEATING THINKING ERRORS

“The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.” ― Albert Einstein

Forward Thinkers, I have discovered 3573 promises in the bible that we have rights to as a born again believer but thinking errors can cause us to be left out and denied life to the fullest which has been promised to us.

Forward Thinkers, the problem is not in the bible, not should I just honor the New Testament covenant or should I also honor the laws of the Old Testament, not the people in the church or the pastor over the church. The problem is the way you think, Forward Thinkers, “until you change your thought process you will never change your progress”.

John 5:3-7

3 Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. [4] [a] 5 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”7 “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”

For 38 years this man showed up to the right place, a place of healing, and a place where others had been healed. He showed up operating under thinking errors canceling the power and potential of the pool.

Forward Thinkers, can’t afford to spend any more time in the shallow end of the pool occupied by thinking errors.

Let’s take a closer look at another example of the danger of operating with thinking errors which can be found in the journey of the children of Israel.

The children of Israel, called God’s chosen people left slavery under God’s protection, went through the Rea Sea heading into the Promise Land. The promise was not from man but from God. History claims with the number of people (elderly, females, and children), plus the number of livestock the trip should have taken a maximum of 2 years. They traveled around in the wilderness 40 years; they wasted 38 years due to thinking errors. Thinking errors delayed their progress.

Both the invalid man and the children of Israel spent 38 years being unsuccessful and unproductive dealing with thinking errors.

Life is often compared to a race, trophies and medals are given for winning races. Sometimes in a race there are hurdles and how you handle those hurdles will determine if you experience victory or defeat, do you agree?

The fulfillment of God’s promise of double-double is our trophy or gold medal. Thinking errors are our hurdles. Until we defeat thinking errors we will not experience the double-double lifestyle promised.

DEFEATING THINKING ERRORS

  1. FINDING AN EXCUSE WHY YOU CAN’T

Thinking Error: I have no one to help me

Thinking Error: It’s hard on this journey for me

    1. Biblical Truth: The Lord didn’t bring me this far to leave me
    2. Biblical Truth: I’ve come this far by faith, learning and depending on the Lord
      1. OTHERS ARE BETTER THAN ME

Thinking Error: Someone always gets in before me

Thinking Error: There are giants in my way

    1. Biblical Truth:In Due Season
    2. Biblical Truth: I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me
    3. Biblical: Truth: The last shall be first
    4. Biblical Truth: Divine order, its testimony time
    5. PUTTING MORE FACTS IN YOUR CONDITION THAN IN CHRIST

Thinking Error: Been this way 38 years which is a long time

    1. Biblical Truth: Jesus asked, “Do you want to get well”.
    2. Biblical Truth: After the Red Sea, there should have been no doubt
  1. IGNORING THE POSITIVE THINGS THAT HAVE OCCURRED

Thinking Error: I’m trying, but I keep failing (I’m a failure)

    1. Biblical Truth: God has delivered or healed someone with your condition before
    2. Biblical Truth: God provided manna from heaven so God will provide for you

Forward Thinkers, in conclusion, Jesus said get up and change the way you think and pick up your mat by defeating all the thinking errors that have held you down in the past. Finally, Forward Thinkers Jesus said walk away from negative thinking errors and walk into your God ordained destiny of greatness.
