PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Offense
Brandon Hayes,Yates
Quarterback, Senior

Hayes completed 7-of-11 passes for 127-yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed the ball eight times for 119-yards and one rushing touchdown in Yates’s 48-26 victory over Washington.

Defense
Kyran Mitchell, Lamar
Linebacker, Senior

Mitchell had 10 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and one sack in Lamar’s 56-7 victory over Madison.

OFFENSE

QUARTERBACKS
Darrell Colbert, Lamar, Colbert completed 11 of his 15 passing attempts for 168-yards and three touchdowns. He also ran the ball 6 times for 47-yards and two rushing touchdowns to lead his team to a 56-7 victory over Madison.

Dave Booker, Wheatley, Booker was 13-21 passing for 289-yards and five touchdowns in Wheatley’s 48-26 victory over Waltrip.

Nathan Drury, Westside, Drury was 8-of-16 passing for 150-yards and five touchdowns. He also ran the ball 4 times for 62-yards and one rushing touchdown in Westside’s 77-21 win over Sam Houston.

RUNNING BACKS
Floyd Green, Wheatley, Green carried the ball 24 times for 145-yards and two touchdowns in Wheatley’s 48-26 win over Waltrip.

Moses Fleming, Milby, Fleming rushed the ball 8 times for 169-yards and two touchdowns in Milby’s 34-0 victory over Austin.

Anthony Martin, Yates, Martin carried the ball 17 times for 152-yards and one touchdown in Yates’s 50-0 win over Washington.

Brandon Foster, Furr, Foster rushed the ball 20 times for 131 yards and three touchdowns in Furr’s 40-0 victory over Sterling.

Lorean Easley, Westside, Easley rushed the ball six times for 125-yards and three touchdowns in Westside’s 77-21 victory over Sam Houston.

WIDE RECEIVERS
Jamain Boyd, Sam Houston, Boyd had three catches for 112-yards and one touchdown. He also ran the ball three times for 18-yards in Sam Houston’s 77-21 loss to Westside.

Trevor Moore, Wheatley, Moore had five catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns in Wheatley’s 48-26 victory over Waltrip.

Rahkim Blair, Sam Houston, Blair had two catches for 108-yards and one touchdown in Sam Houston’s 77-21 loss to Westside.

De’Avian Wright, Wheatley, Wright had three catches for 91-yards and two touchdowns in Wheatley’s 48-26 victory over Waltrip.

Stacy Piro, Furr, Piro had five catches for 84-yards and one touchdown in Furr’s 40-0 victory over Sterling.

DEFENSE

Glen Anderson, Lamar, Anderson had nine total tackles, and 1.5 tackles for a loss in Lamar’s 56-7 victory over Madison.

Bradley Cunningham, Westside Cunningham had seven total tackles and one tackle for a loss in Westside’s 77-21 victory over Sam Houston.

John Bonney, Lamar Bonney had five total tackles and one tackle for a loss in Lamar’s 56-7 victory over Madison.

DISTINCT ATHLETES

Will Smith, Hempstead: The quarterback ran 19 times for 223 yards and six scores, adding 176 yards passing and another touchdown against Rice Consolidated.
 

Demarcus Felton, Dekaney: The running back had 44 carries for 371 yards and one touchdown in a 27-26 loss to Klein.
