Bible Fact: The Bible is the infallible word of God and the primary authorized written source that gives Divine instructions to all true Christians.

Bible Text: John 16:7,13

Aim: To lead students to accept the Holy Ghost as the promise of Jesus Christ to them personally and to encourage them to be guided by His will for their decisions and daily living.

The filling of the Spirit is to control the life of believers and to give them evidence internally and externally that they have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is busy working daily on the inside of the believer to give them more confidence of God’s presence with them while at the same time the Holy Spirit is working on the outside to let others know that God is present with that believer. I want to know that God is present with me and to show that evidence to others.

  • I. The Bible commands me to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In Ephesians 5:18-21 I can recognize at least four (4) spiritual responses that can employ as a Christian.
  • II. The filling of the Holy Spirit will keep me strong in prayer. After the early Church believers had prayed in Acts 4:31 I can list at least two (2) things that happened publicly.
  • III. The filling of the Holy Spirit enables me to know God and to interact with Him at a level above the natural human knowledge when need be. In II Corinthians 12:1-6 I can identify at least two (2) things that happened to Paul as he was controlled by the Holy Spirit.
  • IV. My Power Reading scriptures: Ephesians 4:1-32; Galatians 5:22,23; Matthew 7:17-20
