‘Fast & Furious 6’ opened Memorial weekend with record numbers at the box office. This latest installment of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’ Conner’s (Paul Walker) adventures as expert drivers left audiences yearning for more and proved to be the best movie yet as it landed in the No. 1 spot with id="mce_marker"20 million. This marks the biggest opening weekend for a Universal Pictures release. The film grossed an additional id="mce_marker"58 million internationally. As always, a blockbuster movie means red carpets galore. Check out a few of my favorite looks that the cast sported on the red and blue carpets at the UK and LA premieres.
Jordana Brewster wore a beautiful Jenny Packham Fall 2013 beaded and strapless creme gown. She polished off her look with Solange Partridge jewels and Jimmy Choo shoes.
Michelle Rodriguez went for a racy red look in a strapless lace and ruffled gown. The body hugging gown featured a nice train that stood out on the blue carpet. Michelle appeared to stuggle with her dress in the majority of photos which is always distracting but she looked polished and beautiful as usual.
Elsa Pataky stunned, wearing a Naeem Khan crystal-beaded tulle gown. Incredibly sheer and looking more like a slip than a gown, this body hugging number combined with her blunt short do was a win. The gorgeous intricate beadwork and drapery makes this one of my favorite looks.
Tyrese Gibson wore a midnight-blue suit with black-lined shawl lapels to the UK premiere. He then did a 180 and wore a white sportscoat with black lapels to the LA premiere. Handsome as always; but if you ask me, his best accesory of the evenings would be his date who sported a beautiful long sleeved, thigh high golden dress.
Paul Walker looked dashing in a Giorgio Armani L.A. navy suit that featured a peak-lapel jacket. He wore that over a white cotton shirt and a purple silk tie.
Vin Diesel wore a simple, yet elegant black suit to the premiere. I was happy to see him wearing something besides the muscle hugging t-shirts and cargo pants I’m used to. He kept a little bit of his signature look with the black army boots he paired his look with.
Chris “Ludacris” Bridges must be a happy camper these days with a No. 1 movie and a No. 1 mixtape. He and girlfriend Eudoxie looked great in white on the red carpet. I especially loved the black and white checkered bow-tie Chris wore along with the silky red dress-shirt.
Sung Kang, wore a grey checkered 3 piece suit and sported a shorter do. The black shoes he paired his look with complimented the black buttons and emblem that he placed on his lapel.
Gal Gadot, proved to be the belle of the ball at both premieres as she looked the most glamorous of all. To the UK premiere Gal wore a black, form-fitting sequined gown that featured a dramatic plunge on the front and back. Gal looked 1920’s glam at the LA premiere in an ombre grey chiffon gown that she paired with a chunky gold chain.
Luke Evans stepped out in an Al Sauvage three piece ensemble. The look featured an Al Sauvage tuxedo jacket, 5 button waist coat, white collar shirt, and a cone shape pocket square. For me, it doesn’t get any better than a well-fit suit.
Until Next Time...Grace Boateng
