Kimye

A source close to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has revealed the inspiration behind the unorthodox name, “North West.”

According to the insider, the name is meant to be more “inspirational than directional” and is meant to represent new heights. New parents, Kim and Kanye have even reportedly been going around saying: “What’s North of North? Nothing.” The insider also revealed that both Kim and Kanye believe that “North is their highest point together as a couple” and that the baby represents a kind of “North Star” for them.

This all makes sense, especially considering how Kanye prides himself in being unique and individualistic. But an alternate explanation is that Kim andmorphthing2 Kanye knew how much press attention that this name would receive and maybe North isn’t the baby’s name at all. Kim and Kanye might be sitting back sipping mojitos with their feet kicked up whilst laughing at the thousands of blogs on gossip sites rattling off their irrelevant opinions on their baby’s fake name which trended for hours on Twitter. Haha! Joke’s on us!

On second thought, if they have to explain the baby’s name, then maybe they should have thought about it more before burdening the child with it for her entire life. This poor child just might be teased and tormented over her name forever and Kimye could so easily have prevented this by simply giving her a normal, non-directional, name. Pun intended.

As a result of my boredom and fascination with the MorphThing website, I’ve included an image of what baby North might look like as a college student. I’m guessing that she will have a head full of hair and sickening edges (courtesy of Kim’s Armenian side), and snatched full brows (courtesy of both parents). A huge congratulations goes out to both Kim and Kanye on their first child.
