Black_NeighborhoodIn this sin-sick society, many are saying that Black Colleges are irreverent and Financial Aid is a waste of taxpayer’s money. The TSU Community Awareness Program (CAP), under the leadership of Eva Pickens, Associate Vice President of Communications, has created a “Do the Math” campaign for scholarships and student services. Georgia Provost is asking alumni, former students, friends, and supporters of Texas Southern University to donate only 10.00 dollars per month. If 10,000 would donate for a solid year, it would raise over 1,000,000. She has taken those figures a bit further; calculating what would happen if 50,000 friends, graduates and former students did the same thing- 10.00 every month for a solid year, Hmmmmm.

JBHonestly, I am getting tired of hearing people provide reasons in order to justify the closing and mergers of schools that are ALL located within the Black community; for trumped up reasons such as low enrollment. Unless you have been sleeping under a rock, you would know that none of this stuff has happened overnight.
