The Houston Texans have just finished up with the Team’s weekend minicamp and head coach Gary Kubiak is impressed with his draft picks. As a native of South Carolina I was very excited to see the Texans use their first 2 draft picks on players from the state of South Carolina. DeAndre Hopkins from Clemson, and D.J. Swearinger from the University of South Carolina.
Despite a two-hour weather delay, Tiger Woods was able to win The Players Championship over the weekend. In a tournament that he’s only won once, he showed great poise and was able to finish on top despite sinking his tee shot on the 14th hole into the water.
Just as he’s done throughout his first two seasons in the NBA, Chandler Parsons has continued to improve every step of the way through his initial foray into the world of NBA playoff basketball. The 24-year-old’s numbers have spiked through each of his first four games thus far, culminating with a monster 27-point, 10-rebound, 8-assist performance that carried the Rockets to a season-saving win in Game 4 of their first round matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Houston Texans first round draft selection of Andre Hopkins was truly a delight not only to the team but to the fans as well as he was taken as the 27th overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft last Thursday night.
